The Role We're hiring a Production Planner to own the detailed production schedule day to day and keep the factory running on time. You'll release work orders, track them through every operation, and be the person who spots a delay before it becomes a missed program milestone. You'll work with Production leadership to set priorities and resolve conflicts on the floor, and you'll keep our schedule data accurate and trustworthy in our ERP and MES systems. This is a hands on execution role reporting to the Sr. Manager of Production Planning & Scheduling, with a dotted line to the local site General Manager you support day to day. You'll apply the scheduling methodology and standard work the function is building, and you'll be a key voice in making it better as we scale. What You'll Do: • Develop and maintain the detailed production schedule across all operations, keeping it accurate and executable. • Release work orders to the floor and track their progress through every operation, from start to completion. • Set milestone dates on all work orders, ensuring dates drive the right priorities and reflect real commitments. • Partner with Production leadership to establish priorities and resolve production conflicts, making the right sequencing calls when jobs compete for capacity. • Monitor production progress and update the schedule, flagging constraints and delays early, before they affect major program milestones. • Develop recovery schedules when production falls behind, and communicate changes, risks, and recovery plans clearly to all affected teams. • Support daily scheduling meetings and weekly schedule reviews, bringing accurate status, priorities, and risks to the table. • Keep schedule data accurate in the ERP and MES systems, maintaining the data integrity that everyone's plans and commitments depend on. • Partner with GTM (go to market) teams on customer needs and incoming work, and with internal Operations partners on priorities translating both into an executable schedule. • Support rate readiness reviews and NPI kickoffs when applicable bring schedule, and capacity readiness inputs and integrate new programs into the production plan. Qualifications • Experience in production planning, scheduling, or shop floor operations in a manufacturing environment. • Working knowledge of production scheduling, work order management, sequencing, and priority management. • Hands on experience with ERP and/or MES systems, with a strong attention to data accuracy and integrity. • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with schedule data (Excel required; SQL or BI tools a plus). • Clear communicator who can align the floor, program teams, and commercial partners and deliver hard news early. • Skilled at working through differing opinions and competing viewpoints, building consensus where possible and driving to a firm decision when it's not. • Bias for action and comfort in a fast paced, changing environment; calm under delivery pressure.
