Advertising policy
Last updated 2026-09-23
SpaceNexus sells sponsorships, advertising and clearly labelled sponsored articles. Money never touches our data. This page says what we sell, how it is labelled, what we turn down, and which rules are enforced in our code rather than only promised here.
The wall between money and data
- No payment changes data. Not a figure, a chart, a Space Score, a tracker, a ranking, a fact-check, or an editorial article.
- No payment changes order. Search results, the company directory and the job board are ordered without reference to any payment. Paid job posts appear in a separate slot labelled “Featured”; they do not move organic listings. Paid company enhancements are labelled “Enhanced listing — paid” and do not affect directory, search or ranking order.
- Sponsors never preview or shape editorial. No sponsor sees an article, report or dataset before it publishes, and none chooses what we cover.
- Sponsored content never feeds AI-drafted products. The weekly lunar article, the daily and weekly briefs, AI insights and mission debriefs are built from inputs that exclude partner content and sponsor messages.
- Some pages carry nothing paid at all — no ad units, no sponsor slots, no partner content:
- Space stocks (/space-stocks)
- Space Markets Daily (/markets-daily)
- All rankings, including Space Score, the weekly Space Score edition and the Top 25 (/rankings)
- Company report cards (/report-cards)
- The Moon tracker (/moon)
- The monthly report (it carries stock movers) (/reports/monthly)
- Chart of the Week and data charts (the rotation includes stock and score series) (/chart)
These rules are checked by automated tests that fail our build if a score, ranking or data module starts reading from advertising, sponsorship or partner-content code, if a paid label goes missing, or if a paid link loses its rel="sponsored".
What we sell, and how it is labelled
Every paid item says so in words — before you reach the content, not in colour or an icon alone.
Weekly brief sponsorship — State of the Space Economy
Your name, a one-line message and a link above the weekly data brief published every Monday. The brief is built from our own data; you never see it before it publishes.
Price: $150 per issue, or $500 for 4 issues
Label: “Sponsored · Presented by <you>”
Where: The State of the Space Economy brief page
"Presented by" — editorial data reports
One sponsor per report: the weekly Who's Hiring report, the monthly Hiring Index, the Launch Slip Index and the State of the Space Industry report. The sponsor has no role in selecting, analysing or reviewing the data.
Price: Quoted per report and period
Label: “Sponsored · Presented by <you>”
Where: Above the report, with the independence disclosure under it
Site display campaign
Banner or native card placements on news, mission-control, satellite and blog pages. Reviewed within 2 business days; declined campaigns are refunded in full.
Price: $100–$5,000 self-serve budget, prepaid; larger budgets quoted
Label: “Advertisement”
Where: Ad slots on eligible pages — never on score, ranking, stock or Moon-tracker pages
Partner content (sponsored article)
An article written by you, or by us for you, published at /partner under your name. We fact-check its factual claims before it publishes and may edit or decline it.
Price: From $750 per article
Label: “Partner content — Sponsored by <you>”
Where: /partner only — never in news, blog lists, news feeds, site search, newsletters or AI-drafted products
Featured job listing
Your role in the labelled Featured slot above the /jobs board and beside the weekly Who's Hiring report. It never changes the order of the organic listings.
Price: $199 for 45 days (standard listing $125 for 30 days)
Label: “Featured”
Where: /jobs (separate slot) and the Who’s Hiring report page
Enhanced company listing
Profile analytics; premium adds a banner, tagline and lead-capture form on your own profile. It does not change directory, search or ranking order, Space Score or any data.
Price: $200/month or $2,000/year; premium $500/month or $5,000/year
Label: “Enhanced listing — paid”
Where: Your company profile and your directory card
Who's Hiring / jobs widget attribution
Branded attribution on the embeddable jobs widget and feed.
Price: Quoted
Label: “Sponsored by <you>”
Where: The jobs widget and feed
Current prices and audience figures are on the rate card.
“Presented by” report sponsorships
A sponsor of an editorial data report gets its name, an optional one-line message and a link above the report, labelled “Sponsored · Presented by <sponsor>”, with this line directly under it:
The sponsor had no role in selecting, analysing or reviewing this data and did not see it before publication.
An unsold slot shows nothing. Score, ranking, stock and Moon-tracker surfaces cannot carry one.
Partner content (sponsored articles)
- From $750 per article, written by the sponsor or by us for the sponsor, and published only at /partner.
- “Partner content — Sponsored by <sponsor>” appears above the headline; a disclosure box appears above the text; the byline says who wrote it and for whom; the page title and share card carry the word “Sponsored”.
- We fact-check the factual claims before publishing. An article cannot be approved in our system until an editor has written fact-check notes (at least 40 characters), and editing an approved article takes it back off the site until it is checked again. We may edit or decline any piece.
- Partner content is kept out of our news pages, blog lists, homepage news, news feeds (RSS), the Google News sitemap, site search, newsletters' editorial sections and every AI-drafted product.
What we decline
- Paid content about whether to buy or sell a security, and any stock promotion. Paid content may promote companies and products, never an investment decision. We do not accept compensation to promote a security (the kind of arrangement Section 17(b) of the Securities Act requires to be disclosed), and nothing sponsored appears on our stock or score pages.
- Crypto tokens, token sales, and investment or “guaranteed return” schemes.
- Claims we cannot verify, or that are misleading, including invented statistics and undated “as of” figures.
- Political and issue advertising.
- Anything designed to look like SpaceNexus editorial, data or a SpaceNexus recommendation.
- Anything unlawful, deceptive, or that impersonates a person or organisation.
We review every campaign and article before it runs. Self-serve campaigns are reviewed within 2 business days, and declined self-serve campaigns are refunded in full automatically.
Links and search engines
Every paid link — ad units, sponsor names, partner-article links and enhanced-listing website buttons — carries rel="sponsored", so search engines do not treat it as an editorial endorsement. Sponsored pages stay out of news feeds and the news sitemap.
Ads and your consent
Display ads load only after you accept advertising cookies in the consent banner; if you reject them, no ad code loads. Pro members and people on a Pro trial see no ads. Google's ad code also waits until you interact with the page, so automated traffic does not request it. See the cookie policy and privacy policy.
Contact
Advertising and sponsorship: use the form on the rate card or contact us. To report a paid item that is not labelled, or one you think breaks this policy, tell us — we treat it like a correction.
