SUPO, where required) WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Serving as an IT On-Site Support specialist, you will deliver direct, hands-on assistance to keep local team operations running smoothly. Working alongside a global IT team, you will manage local and global requests and route complex escalations to the appropriate team members. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide responsive, friendly first-line desktop and hands-on IT support for local and global staff across macOS, Windows, and Linux workstations. - Manage local mobile phone subscriptions. - Set up, deploy, and physically maintain laptops, docking stations, monitors, printers, and meeting room AV equipment. - Support basic day-to-day hardware maintenance, workstation setups, and physical network patching on the manufacturing floor. - Assist with user onboarding and offboarding by imaging laptops and provisioning standard accounts using checklists. - Triage, resolve, and document local support tickets within Jira Service Management, escalating complex network or infrastructure issues to senior specialists. - Maintain accurate local hardware inventory, track asset movement, and help keep site IT documentation up to date. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Must haves: - 2+ years of practical IT support, desktop support, or service desk experience (or a completed vocational qualification / degree in IT or a related field). - Foundational troubleshooting skills across Windows and macOS, with basic comfort or strong curiosity to learn Linux fundamentals. - Practical experience assembling, cabling, and configuring desktop peripherals, monitors, and conference room tech. - Basic understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi connectivity, and physical cable patching). - Working familiarity with cloud productivity suites such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. - Clear verbal and written English and Portuguese communication skills with a customer-focused, helpful attitude. Nice to haves: - Initial exposure to ticketing platforms like Jira Service Management. - Basic understanding of identity and access concepts (such as Okta or Active Directory). - Familiarity with or curiosity about manufacturing, lab, or cleanroom environments. - Basic knowledge of MDM tools such as Jamf or Omnissa Workspace ONE.
