At the pad when the window opens: Daylight launch. The sun is up at the pad. You see the rocket and its exhaust trail; the engine flame is less vivid than at night, and from far away a day launch can be hard to pick out.

What to expect

Falcon 9 flies from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. SpaceX says the first stage will land at Landing Zone 40, on the Cape.
A booster flying back to a landing zone on land is supersonic as it comes down, so its landing brings a sonic boom that can be heard around the area several minutes after liftoff.
Sound travels about a kilometre every 3 seconds (a mile every 5), so at a distance you see liftoff before you hear it.
NASA's SpaceX Crew-13 carries four people to the International Space Station.
