Lead Generation Marketing Manager

Job description

Job description Team & Reporting Line: Our Mission At constellr, we use thermal intelligence from space to understand what is happening on Earth - where, when and at scale. Our satellite constellation delivers high-resolution land surface temperature data, giving governments, defence organisations, commercial operators and global institutions the intelligence they need to monitor change, assess risk and make better-informed decisions. From national security and critical infrastructure to agriculture and climate resilience, constellr turns temperature into actionable intelligence for a changing world. Your Role As our Commercial Marketing Manager, you will be the engine that connects constellr’s marketing activity to real commercial outcomes. Sitting at the intersection of Marketing and Sales, you will own the journey from first touchpoint to sales-ready opportunity – turning campaigns, events and inbound interest into a healthy, qualified pipeline for our sales team. You will work hand-in-hand with our Sales and Business Development team every day, partner closely with Marketing, Product and our Earth observation scientists, and help translate complex thermal data capabilities into compelling commercial stories for customers across agriculture, infrastructure, government and defence. This is a high-impact role in a fast-scaling New Space company. The pipeline you build, the opportunities you create and the positioning you shape will directly drive our growth as we bring the world’s first commercial thermal infrared constellation to market. If you love being close to the deal, thrive on momentum and want to see the tangible impact of your work, this role is for you. Key responsibilities Lead Management: Own and manage all incoming leads, ensuring every enquiry is captured, qualified and followed up promptly in our CRM. Lead Generation: Generate new leads from marketing activities – campaigns, content, webinars, digital channels and events – and turn them into qualified opportunities. Pipeline Building: Build and fill the sales pipeline, maintaining its health and visibility, and work against commercial targets where relevant. Lead Nurturing: Nurture leads with relevant, targeted touchpoints until they are sales-ready, then ensure a smooth, well-documented handover to the sales team. Opportunity Creation: Proactively identify and create new commercial opportunities across target markets, segments and key accounts. Sales Enablement: Understand what salespeople need to progress deals, and quickly produce or coordinate the required sales materials, pitch decks, case studies and information. Events & Conferences: Support conference and event preparation from a commercial perspective – target account lists, meeting booking, collateral and structured post-event follow-up. Commercial Positioning & Strategy: Define and continuously improve constellr’s commercial positioning and messaging, and contribute to the wider commercial strategy. Bridging Marketing & Sales: Act as the link between marketing activities and sales execution, ensuring campaigns align with commercial priorities and that feedback flows in both directions. Performance & Reporting: Track and report on lead volume, pipeline contribution, conversion rates and campaign ROI, using insights to continuously optimise activity. Job requirements About you Required: 4+ years’ experience in B2B lead generation, demand generation, commercial marketing, sales development or a similar role bridging marketing and sales. A proven track record of building pipeline and converting marketing activity into qualified leads against commercial targets. Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce). A strong understanding of lead qualification and the B2B sales process, ideally with longer, complex sales cycles. The ability to translate technical products into clear value propositions and to produce sales materials quickly and to a high standard. A commercially minded, proactive and organised approach, with comfort working at pace and with a high degree of autonomy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Nice to Have : Experience in Earth observation, geospatial, space, climate tech or data/SaaS businesses. Exposure to government, defence or public-sector buying and sales cycles. Experience preparing for and following up on international trade shows and conferences. Familiarity with account-based marketing (ABM) approaches. German or French language skills. Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment. Why join constellr? High-Impact National Security Mission: Be part of an ambitious mission to launch the world’s first commercial thermal infrared constellation, delivering sovereign-grade "behavioural" intelligence from space to close critical blind spots for defence, intelligence, and maritime surveillance agencies. Fast-Paced "New Space" Innovation: Work at the leading edge of a rapidly evolving defence sector. By leveraging modern, agile New Space methodologies, you will help design, build, and deploy dual-use thermal payloads into operational orbit at a speed and scale that traditional aerospace models simply cannot match. Broad Interdisciplinary Exposure: Accelerate your professional growth by collaborating daily with a diverse, international cohort of astrophysicists, software developers, and defence-system engineers. Inclusive & Scientific Culture: Join a high-trust team deeply committed to diversity, inclusion, and scientific excellence, where academic curiosity is paired with high autonomy and a flat hierarchy. Financial Upside & Well-being: Benefit from a Virtual Share Option Plan (VSOP) for permanent employees, giving you a true stake in the company's growth, alongside highly flexible hybrid working models.
