We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. Blue Origin's mission is to build a road to space for the benefit of Earth. The Human Resources (HR) organization advances our Vision - "Millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth" - through programs that acquire critical talent, reward high performers, and develop current and future leaders. As a mission-critical partner, HR strengthens a safety-first culture, scales objective, compliant practices, and enables teams to deliver safe, repeatable spaceflight. The Principal, HR Specialist serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer's (CHRO) closest strategic partner and the architect of the HR organization's planning and operating infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of trusted advisor and operational owner: it builds and runs the mechanisms — strategic planning, goals, business reviews, workforce and budget planning — that turn Blue wide priorities into executable, measurable outcomes across HR. The role models a narrative-first writing culture, structured problem solving, and operational rigor, ensuring the HR Leadership Team's execution stay tightly aligned to what matters most. Special Mentions: Relocation provided Travel expected up to 15% of the time Responsibilities include but are not limited to: HR Partnership Manage the flow of information to and from HR, ensuring the right issues reach the right level of attention at the right time. Prepare HR for high-stakes meetings, leadership updates, and exec reviews with sharp, data-backed, narrative-driven materials. Own the HR’s internal and external narrative — leadership materials, all-hands content, and key stakeholder communications — grounding them in planning data and outcomes. Strategic & Annual Planning Own the end-to-end design and execution of HR's Annual Strategic Planning process, aligning HR plans to Blue’s most critical priorities. Build and maintain the HR goals architecture, ensuring line-of-sight from HR strategy down to team-level execution. Partner with Finance and HR leaders on workforce planning and budget/resource allocation tied to strategic priorities. Facilitate planning sessions across HR to pressure-test strategy, surface tradeoffs, and prioritize investment. Establish continuous improvement practices — feedback loops, retrospectives, data-driven refinements — to sharpen planning accuracy and execution over time. Data, Analytics & Insights Use workforce and business data to identify root causes, trends, and risks across HR programs; translate findings into actionable, executive-ready recommendations. Own HR's reporting and visualization infrastructure giving HR real-time visibility into performance against plan. Evaluate program ROI and effectiveness to inform resourcing and prioritization decisions. Enterprise Project Management Lead cross-functional, often ambiguous HR initiatives across HR, structuring scope, resourcing, and milestones to deliver enterprise-wide outcomes. Act as the point of orchestration across HR to remove execution barriers and keep initiatives on track. Ensure operational readiness for new HR programs — stakeholder alignment, resource planning, risk mitigation, and rollout sequencing.
