How complete our funding data is
A count of what we hold, by quarter and region, computed from our own records and refreshed every few hours. It shows how many funding rounds we have on record, how many rest on an official filing rather than a press report, how many carry a stated amount, and how many company profiles are tied to an official register. Where a free tracker publishes a dated deal count for the same quarter, we show it beside ours. We do not estimate what we miss.
This is the live record. A frozen quarterly edition keeps the figures it was published with; rounds added since show there as revisions. See also how we make our numbers.

Against a free benchmark
- Seraphim Space's free SpaceTech Investment Tracker (its Q2 2026 page gives the Q1 figure) counts 159 deals for Q1 2026 (first read on 2026-09-25); we hold 69 rounds on record for the same quarter, 43% of that count. Seraphim Space counts third-party private capital worldwide, across a SpaceTech universe wider than ours (it takes in platforms such as high-altitude aircraft and data analytics), so the two counts are not like for like, and we cannot say which of its deals we miss. Why trackers count differently: why space funding totals differ.
Every quarter since Q1 2024
Each cell: rounds on record, then the share backed by an official filing and the share with a stated amount. Our records before 2026 are thinner than 2026, so a rise across that line is partly our coverage, not the market.

Company profiles tied to an official register
157 of 436 profiles (36%) carry at least one register identity: an SEC filer number (CIK), a UK company number, a French SIREN or a global Legal Entity Identifier (LEI). A register identity is what lets filings, rather than press reports, reach a profile.

Known gaps
- United States
- Rounds come from SEC Form D filings, company announcements and the press. Only offerings that file a Form D appear in SEC data, and many seed rounds and SAFEs never file one.
- Europe (excluding the UK)
- No European register publishes the amount of a round for free, so amounts come from company announcements and the press. French BODACC notices confirm the date of capital increases at the 18 French companies linked to the register, never the amount. German, Italian, Spanish and other European registers are not read.
- United Kingdom
- Companies House allotment returns (SH01) state the cash paid for new shares; we read them for the 16 UK companies linked to the register, of 17 UK profiles. Each one is fact-checked by a person before it counts.
- China
- Rounds come from company announcements and the English and Chinese-language press; Chinese registers are not read. Rounds led by state investors are reported as state capital, beside the total.
- Japan
- Private Japanese companies file nothing we can read for free, so rounds come from company announcements and the press.
- India
- Indian allotment returns are paid documents on the government portal, so rounds come from company announcements and the press.
- Rest of world, or country not recorded
- Rounds come from company announcements and the press. Profiles with no recorded country are counted here.
How we count
A round on record is a published funding round that counts as private funding into a space company, by the same rule as our quarterly editions (equity from outside investors; debt, grants, state capital, owner funding, acquisitions and public-market money are reported beside the total, not in it). Official filing: the round carries an official register or regulator filing as a source (an SEC Form D, a UK Companies House allotment return, a French BODACC notice). Stated amount: the round has an exact dollar figure on record. Region: the company’s recorded country.
