About the team The Chassis team exists for providing the foundational physical platforms for all Level 1 (Product and Projects) and Level 2 (Programs) initiatives according to each program need. Its core purpose is to unify and deliver the detailed engineering level supported by the engineering services and be the proactive engineering backbone that enables the success of our most ambitious space systems and data offerings. About the position As the Chassis Team Leader, you will oversee the structural, mechanical, thermal, and integration needs of every program and product within the company. You will act as the primary owner for physical architecture, integration of the satellites and safe integration with launch vehicles. This role is highly strategic, tasked with identifying and addressing technology gaps, promoting efficiency, and ensuring our platforms remain at the forefront of space technology. You will be responsible for the innovation and strategic planning of physical architectures, long-term strategic planning, securing requirements from the system engineering level to a detailed engineering level and fostering strong cross-functional partnerships to ensure seamless mission success. Scope (Key Responsibilities) Lead the design implementation and maintenance of physical architectures (structural platforms and behaviors, harness integration, and thermal control) of our spacecrafts. Drive innovation to reduce risks associated with the structure and thermal behaviour, control & regulate mass, CG and inertia budgets while satisfying all systemical requirements. You will be the main stakeholder of improving manufacturability according to the manufacturing team reports, findings and production bottlenecks. Own system-level harness implementation, ensuring physical inter-assembly connectivity across complex satellite subsystems according to the technical requirements and guidance of the electrical engineering team. Coordinate safe implementation and secure the behavior in orbit of the Thermal control state machine in the satellites to fulfill functional requirements according to the technical requirements and guidance of the electrical and software engineering teams. Define and optimize interferences associated with each satellite subsystem in collaboration with each system engineer of each program. Define comprehensive thermal control strategies, Cross-Functional Partnership & Support Serve as a crucial partner to Purchasing and Production teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality documentation and supporting procurement/manufacturing specifications. Act as coordinator for Level 3 support for any structural, thermal, or integration issues arising during assembly or production. Collaborate with engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Structure, Thermal, Optics and Electronics) teams to accomplish all the key responsibilities listed above.. Strategic Planning & Leadership Develop long-term technical solutions, anticipating future challenges in thermal management, structural integrity, and complex harness routing. Coordinate strategic initiatives to ensure normal and safe operation with satellite launchers. Manage team resources to ensure efficient cross-platform decision-making. Report progress, risks, and value realization to senior leadership. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Location Argentina About you Experience & knowledge Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field of study or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience as an engineer in technical environments with multidisciplinary teams in aerospace applications. 3+ years of mandatory experience in teamwork, designing, and executing projects while guiding a team. Proven experience in structural design, thermal control, and system-level integration. Budget and planning knowledge. Skills Advanced knowledge in project execution and engineering design processes. Strong strategic comprehension and ability to navigate a constantly changing environment. Proactivity, strong negotiation skills, and ability to drive cross-functional alignment. Capacity to learn continuously and passion for pushing the limits of space technology. Advanced English proficiency levels. Experience with CAD/PLM tools for hardware development.
