Main Responsibilities Contract Management • Own and manage supply chain contractual activities for assigned suppliers throughout the contract lifecycle. • Ensure supplier adherence to contractual obligations. • Lead negotiations related to amendments, change orders, claims, renewals, and dispute resolution. • Maintain accurate and auditable contract records. • Collaborate with Legal to draft, review, negotiate, and implement commercial agreements. • Draft, review, negotiate, interpret, and administer complex commercial agreements, contract terms and conditions, amendments, and statements of work. • Provide guidance on contractual obligations, commercial risk, and governance. • Develop negotiation strategies and lead commercial discussions. • Identify and mitigate contractual, commercial, financial, operational, and supplier performance risks. Defence, Compliance & Supplier Governance • Support procurement and contract management activities for Telesat Lightspeed and other strategic initiatives, with a focus on defence, aerospace, and government-related procurements. • Ensure supplier agreements incorporate applicable contractual, regulatory, security, export control, Controlled Goods Program, and government contracting requirements. • Support Industrial and Technological Benefits obligations where applicable. • Monitor supplier and subcontractor compliance. • Collaborate with stakeholders to support audits, compliance reporting, and contractual deliverables. Policy & Process Governance • Review, develop, implement, and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks. • Identify opportunities to improve procurement, contract management, supplier governance, and operational efficiencies. • Ensure required ITB flow-down provisions are incorporated into supplier contracts, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements. • Administer contractual mechanisms that appropriately allocate and manage financial liabilities associated with ITB commitments. • Collaborate with Finance, Program Management, and other stakeholders to support compliance reporting, audits, and contractual deliverables.
