Week in Space Data, every Friday.
Galactic Energy has flown multiple successful orbital missions with its Ceres-1 solid rocket and is developing the larger, reusable Pallas-1 kerosene/LOX vehicle for medium-lift launches.
ACTIVEGalactic Energy is a Beijing-based private launch company founded in 2018. Its Ceres-1 solid-fuel rocket first reached orbit in November 2020, and its partially reusable kerosene/liquid-oxygen Pallas-1 medium-lift rocket made its maiden orbital flight on 1 September 2026.
Galactic Energy (Yinhe Dongli) has emerged as one of the most successful Chinese commercial launch startups, achieving multiple consecutive successful orbital launches with its Ceres-1 solid-fuel rocket since 2020. The company is now developing Pallas-1, a medium-lift kerosene/LOX rocket with planned reusability, designed to compete with larger vehicles in the growing Chinese commercial launch market. Galactic Energy is one of the best-funded private space companies in China.
