ACTIVEInterlune plans to harvest Helium-3 from the lunar regolith, a rare isotope with potential applications in quantum computing, medical imaging, and fusion energy research.
Interlune is a lunar mining startup founded by former Blue Origin executives. The company is developing the technology and infrastructure to extract Helium-3 from the Moon's surface. Helium-3 is an extremely rare isotope on Earth but abundant in lunar regolith, deposited over billions of years by solar wind. The isotope has near-term applications in quantum computing sensors, neutron detection, and medical imaging (lung MRI), with long-term potential as a clean fusion fuel. Interlune plans to deploy robotic harvesters on the lunar surface to collect and return Helium-3 to Earth.
Rank 66 of 93 ranked companies. With the pillars we have not measured for this company filled at the 10th and 90th percentiles of the companies we did measure, and every other company held at its published total, the rank is likely between 57 and 75.
