ACTIVEMBRSC is a Dubai Government space centre, founded in 2006 as EIAST, that built KhalifaSat and the Emirates Mars Mission's Hope Probe and runs the Emirates Lunar Mission, including the Rashid Rover 2.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) is the UAE's premier space organization, responsible for the country's most ambitious space missions. MBRSC developed and operates KhalifaSat, a high-resolution Earth observation satellite designed and built entirely in the UAE. The centre led the Emirates Mars Mission, successfully placing the Hope Probe into Mars orbit in 2021 to study the Martian atmosphere. MBRSC is also developing the Emirates Lunar Mission (Rashid rover) and training UAE astronauts. The centre is a cornerstone of the UAE's strategy to develop a knowledge-based economy and inspire a new generation of scientists and engineers.
