Starship Flight 4: both stages make controlled splashdowns for the first time

SpaceX's fourth integrated Starship flight test flew a suborbital trajectory, and for the first time both stages survived to controlled splashdowns: the Super Heavy booster in the Gulf of Mexico and the Starship upper stage in the Indian Ocean. It was not an orbital flight; as of September 2026 no Starship has reached orbit.
