Week in Space Data, every Friday.
Real files from the same builders as the paid exports, the column notes behind them, and one whole quarterly report, so you can load our data into your own model before you decide.
The first 25 rows of each dataset with every column, as CSV, carrying the same provenance header and coverage lines as the full export. No account needed.

Each dataset’s coverage statement and columns. The funding rounds and Space Score history files have a note for every column; for the others, the column notes are in the coverage statement.
Every funding round we hold, from the earliest dated round to today, joined to the company profile. Amounts are as reported. A round recorded without a disclosed size keeps a blank amount with amountUndisclosed = true rather than being dropped or estimated. sourceStatus says whether a row can be checked: linked (a source URL), confirmed (checked against its source, verifiedAt) or unsourced-legacy (an older editorial entry with neither; it is kept and marked, never hidden, and it is left out of the free /datasets file). Filter on sourceStatus to reproduce the free file’s row set. Rows whose only source is Crunchbase are left out, as in the free file, and a Crunchbase-labelled row with an SEC EDGAR link is named SEC EDGAR Form D. sourceType says how the row was obtained (official-filing rows are parsed from SEC Form D), sourceRef carries the upstream reference such as the SEC accession number, and verifiedAt is when the row was last confirmed against its source (blank = not yet confirmed). capitalClass separates private rounds and grants from IPOs, listed-company offerings, tender offers, debt and acquisitions; non-space marks a private round or grant into a company not classed as space (a defense, aerospace, government or military company whose recorded subsector does not name space work, or a company with no recorded sector).
Every figure in this edition also appears free elsewhere on SpaceNexus (the frozen Q3 funding edition and the hiring index), so we publish it whole. Space Score movers begin with the Q4 2026 edition in January 2027.
Private funding: $2,900,403,465 across 44 rounds (the published Q3 2026 funding edition).
2026-07-01 to 2026-09-30. Computed 2026-10-06 from our own tables; nothing here is model-written.
$2.90B of private funding across 44 rounds (28 with a disclosed amount), counted by the same rule as the public quarterly funding edition (once the edition is frozen, this report reads its figures). Grants (1, $11.1M), IPOs, listed-company offerings, tender offers, debt and acquisitions are not funding rounds and are reported separately below.
| Kind | Counted as funding | Rounds | Total |

Raises that space companies have said they are seeking, planning or have launched, or that publications report they are in talks about or hold a term sheet for. These are INTENTIONS, NOT COMPLETED ROUNDS: none is a row of the funding-rounds export and none is counted in any SpaceNexus funding total, quarterly figure or Space Score. basis says who states it ("company-says": the company, an executive, its release or filing; "reported": a publication, with unnamedSources = true when it cites unnamed sources). targetAmount is the figure the source states, in its own currency, with amountQualifier kept ("approximate" = about, "ceiling" = up to, "floor" = at least); targetAmountUsd converts it at the ECB reference rate of the report date for filtering only. quote is the statement verbatim. status: "open"; "closed" when a matching round was later recorded (closedRoundId is that round in the funding-rounds export); "stale" when no report has been seen for 12 months ("no close reported since"). Coverage starts with the funding-news pipeline (September 2026) and what it recovered from our stored news history; items from company newsrooms and press releases are included, sponsored and partner content never is. Not investment advice.

Bill-of-materials risk register for orbital systems: component, category, risk level, lead time, primary suppliers, qualified alternatives and historical incidents. Curated by hand from public sources and edited in our code; it changes only when we edit it. The risk levels are our assessment, and the factors behind each one are exported with it.

The Space Score is a 0 to 1000 snapshot of a space company's size and activity, relative to the other companies we track. It combines size (headcount, market value and revenue, 30%), U.S. federal space contracts (20%), equity raised (15%), momentum (15%) and, for launch companies, orbital launches (20%), so it leans heavily on size. It is descriptive: not a forecast, a rating or investment advice. Every scored company (ranked or not) with its total, each pillar, and each metric's raw value and percentile, as of the last daily computation. Methodology v4; formulas, windows and sources at https://spacenexus.us/rankings/space-score-methodology. Blank metric cells are missing or not applicable: the status columns say which. When the total is computed, a pillar that applies but has no data counts at the roster median of that pillar (the median over every scored company measured on it); the value used is in that pillar's pillar_<name>_imputed column, so every total can be reproduced from the file. A blank score means no pillar is measured: no score, not zero. Scores are percentile ranks within the tracked roster, so they describe relative standing, not absolute quality. The provisional column is filled on every row, in words, when the file was built from a board held as half-loaded or served while a recompute runs (then methodologyVersion says which methodology produced it). The raw values of market value and share-price return are left blank here: for listed companies they come from public market quotes, which we do not redistribute. Their percentile, status and pillar scores are included.

Daily Space Score readings, one row per company per day, with the rank, each pillar and each metric's raw value, percentile and status in its own column, and the methodology version in force. History begins 2026-09-23, the first daily snapshot, and is NOT backfilled: earlier dates do not exist and we will not invent them. Scores are percentile ranks within the tracked roster, so a company can move when other companies' data changes or when the roster changes, with none of its own inputs moving; the workspace marks those days. If the methodology is ever revised the version number changes, and rows under different versions must not be compared. The current leaderboard stays free for everyone at /report-cards?view=score. The raw values of market value and share-price return are left blank here: for listed companies they come from public market quotes, which we do not redistribute. Their percentile, status and pillar scores are included.
Every SEC filing in EDGAR's index for the public space companies on the SpaceNexus roster that file with the SEC, from 2025-01-01, one row per filing, all forms (insider Forms 3, 4, 5 and 144 included). category and headline are derived ONLY from the form type and, for an 8-K, the item numbers the company ticked (itemsDecoded spells each one out); nothing reads the document or judges it. capitalRaising = true marks registrations, shelf filings, prospectuses and 8-K Item 3.02 sales: capital raising by a listed company, which the SpaceNexus funding figures classify as public-market capital and never count as private funding (a shelf is not a sale; a 424B3 is often a resale by existing holders). pressReleaseUrl is the EX-99.1 attached to a results 8-K, found for 8-Ks filed within about 400 days of the wire first running. Companies listed only outside the US file with their home regulators and are not covered. Not investment advice.

One row per company per reporting period. status says how the date is known: "reported" = results filed with the SEC (an 8-K with Item 2.02, or the 10-Q/10-K where the company filed no such 8-K; resultsUrl is that filing); "confirmed" = the company announced the date (sourceUrl is its announcement); "estimated" = projected from the company's own SEC history (the date it reported the same period a year earlier, moved forward 52 weeks; basis explains each one) and NOT announced. periodEnd is snapped to the calendar month end so 52/53-week fiscal quarters line up. reactionSession is the first full US session after the results filing (next trading day for a filing after 4 pm New York time). The share move in that session is shown on the free earnings page but is not in this file: it comes from public market quotes (Yahoo Finance), which we do not redistribute. Foreign issuers filing 6-K/20-F carry no results item and appear only when they announce a date. Not investment advice.

Quarterly movers are reported only for a quarter with Space Score snapshots at both ends: a reading within 7 days of its first day and of its last day, under one methodology version. Q3 2026 has readings only from 2026-09-23 to 2026-09-30, so no quarterly movers are reported. Week-by-week movers are at /rankings/space-score-weekly.
The Space Score ranks companies relative to each other on public data we hold. It describes; it does not rate, forecast or recommend. It is not a credit rating and not investment advice. Full disclaimer
