Propulsion Component Engineer (Solenoid Valve)

Job description

As a Propulsion Component Engineer, you will own all aspects of spacecraft solenoid valve design from concept to product realization, while working closely with a fast-paced, agile team that strives to make a high-performance spacecraft from a clean sheet design. Own all aspects of component design from concept to product realization Generate detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings Perform fluid, thermal, structural, and magnetic analysis as required Work with the team and external sources to procure materials, fabricate parts, and complete assemblies Provide technical support for test operations Resolve technical issues with innovative and resourceful solutions Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science 3+ years of experience in solenoid valve or electromagnetic component design Hands-on experience working with fluid and mechanical systems Proficiency in CAD software with ability to learn new tools Capable of performing structural, magnetic, and thermal analysis in support of design Demonstrated ability in requirements definition, conceptual design, procurement, fabrication, assembly and testing of hardware
